1Who We Are

RMC Business Solutions Ltd ("RMC Parking", "we", "us", "our") is a private parking enforcement company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for personal data processed through our website and enforcement activities.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2What Data We Collect

We collect personal data through the following means:

Parking enforcement — vehicle registration marks, photographic evidence, ANPR data
DVLA KADOE — vehicle keeper name and address, obtained where necessary for enforcement
Appeals & correspondence — name, address, email address, telephone number
Website usage — IP addresses, browser type, pages visited (via cookies)
Payment processing — card details (processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store card data)

To issue, administer and enforce parking charges
To process payments and appeals
To pursue unpaid charges through debt collection or legal proceedings
To comply with legal and regulatory obligations
To improve our website and services

4Legal Basis for Processing

Legitimate interests — enforcement of parking terms and recovery of charges
Contract — processing payments and appeals you initiate
Legal obligation — compliance with applicable law
Consent — where you have opted in to communications or cookie use

5Sharing Your Data

We share data only where necessary, including with:

Debt collection agencies (for unpaid charges)
Solicitors (for legal proceedings)
POPLA (independent appeals service)
The DVLA and BPA (as required by our accreditation)
IT and software providers operating under data processing agreements

We do not sell your personal data. We do not transfer data outside the UK.

6Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, destruction or alteration. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

7Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary. Parking charge records are retained for up to 6 years. ANPR data not linked to an enforcement event is deleted within 28 days. For full details, see our Personal Data Retention & Sharing Policy.

8Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data. To make a request, contact us at parking@rmc.ltd. You may also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
